Have you ever been on a ghost tour? Here's a site... →
It’s cool because some ghost tours are awesome but some are real lame. This site allows you add your own review and rating, as well as find a ghost tour in your neighborhood.

Find ghost tours anywhere in the world →
This is a pretty badass site. Lately I’ve been watching Ghost Hunters all the time and so my friends and I have been going out to different ghost tours around the state. I went searching on Google and found this site and now we’re finding out that there are like 20 tours nearby! Looks like we have our summer planned haha…

Needs to find a part time job in NYC
I’m here to make it happen, but I can no longer make it happen the way I was making it happen.
Does ANYONE have an “in” at a coffeeshop or bookstore or musicshop or some similar environment in the city?

I’m not sure how many of you live in NYC, but it is my favorite time to be in the city. Yes, the subways are blistering hot but there is plenty of free music and events to check out. This seems like a a great list with links to all the sites. Check it out!

Tumblr SEO in Google and Yahoo
After a month of freaking out about how my Tumblr blog cannot be found ANYWHERE in Google search results and trying all of the methods to fix that, I happened to use that trusted old search engine from the late 90s: Yahoo.com.
What did I find? When you search for Mike Gertrudes, the third result is my Tumblr blog!!! I had once suspected that Google might be purposely knocking on Tumblr in its...

How To Make My Blood Boil: The Experiment
I am currently voluntarily submitting myself to long, late-hour conversations digging intensely at the logical rooted in 95% emotion, stubbornness and all things irrational. I just can’t help but feel that I’m trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
It is seriously making my blood boil. This is a rare thing to have happen to me, only a few people have been able to push my inner...

A tattoo that says a million words
As I sat on the subway en route to Times Square, I spotted a rather unremarkable man sitting at the end of the car with a large tattoo that ran down his forearm. It, like its owner, was rather unremarkable- so much so that I had looked at it a few times without comprehending what it said.
In a plain, font-less and hand-scribbled set of words read “Kill Fuck Die”.

I think I want to move to Harlem
Every time I take the bus back to NYC we drive through West Harlem over by Columbia. I think I really want that to be the next place I move while here. It seems like it has a ton of culture and I can only imagine what I would find in the thrift stores here.
When I first moved here, I was reading all about the jazz scene that flourished here in Miles Davis’ autobiography. I still have yet...
